About Guy

Guy was an intrepid adventurer and traveller who loved snowboarding, scuba diving and paragliding. After graduating from Newcastle University with a first class degree in Marine Biology, he worked as a scuba diving instructor in East Timor and Indonesia for two years before travelling to Nepal where he spent the winter of 2010/11 learning to paraglide.

Guy was intelligent, warm, compassionate and non-judgmental; a wise and caring son and brother and dear friend to many people all over the world. Despite his youth and legendary sense of fun and zest for life, he had a reputation as a responsible and gifted teacher with a talent for developing friendships with anyone, whatever their background, nationality or age.

He was truly, brightly alive, turned right on, bright as the brightest. Everyone loved him. What a man. One of the best. A true adventurer. We should celebrate his handsomeness, presence, authority, downright hail-friend-well-metness, bravery and fun. Will Clark, a friend of Guy's.

Guy undoubtedly lived his life to the absolute fullest, died doing what he loved, and without intention inspired many others to follow their dreams.

He is missed hugely by everyone who knew him.
